What did my candle smell like?
Bakery lovers… have you tried Candied Caramel Pecan from Better Homes and Gardens yet? Oh my goodness…. it's absolutely delicious!!!! The first time I popped off the lid to smell this candle, I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply in pure appreciation. The wax literally smelled edible. I also recently saw they now carry melts in this scent so adding those to this review as well – just to compare.
Here is the scent description for Candied Caramel Pecan:
Rich and delightfully scrumptious, the Candied Caramel Pecan candle smells of sweet pecans blended with freshly ground cinnamon, spicy clove and aromatic nutmeg spun with caramelized brown sugar and sweet undertones of smooth vanilla caramel.
Mmm!! That sounds amazing!! Cold sniff, I smelled caramelized brown sugar, pecans and yummy caramel. I didn't notice clove or nutmeg. The overall scent was beyond mouthwatering.
Better Homes and Gardens candles are generally lightly scented so I burned this candle in a small bathroom to test. Once lit, I was extremely surprised with the strength of this candle. Happy surprised. It literally took minutes to start noticing the fragrance… so the scent throw went beyond my expectations. I could have easily moved this to a small or medium sized room. The scent…. amazing! It smelled exactly like the name implies… sweet candied pecans, caramelized brown sugar in a caramel glaze. Loved!!!!! So far out of all the Better Homes and Gardens candles I've burned… this fragrance was by far the most authentic bakery scent I've tried. A must have for all bakery lovers.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 6 to 7. It gave a pretty decent throw in a small room. In a larger room, it probably wouldn't be as strong.
Melts – WOW!! Amazing and quadruple the scent throw vs. the candle. The fragrance….. oh my goodness – butter, caramel, pecans and sugar all wrapped up into one delicious scent. And boy was it strong. On a scale of 1 to 10, these melts were a 10. Within minutes of placing the wax into my electric melters, the aroma traveled all throughout the upper level of my home and even spilled to the lower level of my home.
Highly recommend this fragrance!
How did my candle burn?
My candle burned pretty good. These candles are very slow burning so it took hours to reach full melt pools. Once it did, it burned great. No tunneling or wasted wax.
Closing to my review:
I absolutely LOVED this fragrance and will for sure be purchasing more. If you're a bakery lover, I highly recommend this one. The candle gave a pretty decent scent throw and boy did it smell good. So good, you'll want to take a bite out of the wax. Those are the best!! The melts… even better! The scent throw was room saturation strong. I found myself drooling and closing my eyes the entire time I had this scent going.
Happy candle hunting!
